Family School Skills

Family School Skills is an eight-week program for families and children that helps students prepare for school by introducing them to routine, social skills, and transitioning from one activity to another.

Parents love Family School Skills because it simultaneously provides an opportunity to strengthen parent-child relationships as moms and dads learn about children’s communication, executive functioning and developmental stages, and how to ensure their babies are best prepared for school settings. Each week, the class focuses on a popular children’s book and families take a copy home, ending the program with a mini-library of eight books! The Family School Skills Program meets for an hour and a half twice a week and is open to families and children birth to age four.

Sessions run each season - Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. To learn more or join, email our early childhood team at earlychildhood@hpac10474.org.
